The Traditional Ruler of Ishienu Amofu Nkerefi, His Royal Highness Igwe Michael Christian Ogbonnaya, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, and the people of Enugu State on the landmark launch of Enugu Air, the state’s newly inaugurated airline initiative.

In a statement issued from his palace, Igwe Ogbonnaya described the launch as “a bold, visionary move that will not only open up new economic frontiers but also restore the pride and confidence of Ndi Enugu across Nigeria and beyond.”

The traditional ruler lauded Governor Mbah for what he called “a rare demonstration of leadership capacity, innovation, and commitment to transforming the state into a hub of economic excellence.”

Speaking further, Igwe Ogbonnaya emphasized that Enugu Air represents more than a transportation project — it embodies a bold vision for unity, progress, and economic rejuvenation.

“This feat is a clear reflection of the Governor’s resolve to industrialize Enugu State, attract investors, and create opportunities for our teeming youth,” he stated. “By this singular act, His Excellency has further distinguished himself as a trailblazer who is leading Enugu into a new era of prosperity.”

The monarch also praised the people of Enugu State for their resilience and unwavering support for the current administration. He called on them to remain united and to take full advantage of the wide-ranging opportunities that Enugu Air will offer — particularly in commerce, tourism, and regional connectivity.

“As a traditional institution, we are solidly behind this noble venture. Enugu Air is not just a project of the government; it is the pride of the people. It tells our story of excellence and ambition,” he added.

Igwe Ogbonnaya ended his message with prayers for Governor Mbah, asking for continued wisdom, strength, and divine guidance in steering the affairs of the state. He further assured the governor of the collective support and blessings of traditional rulers across Enugu State.
