  The Enugu state National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) today had her 2023 batch A stream 2 swearing in ceremony of her national corp members at the permanent orientation camp in Agwu.  The swearing in which was well attended by collaborating agencies and government officials had in its swearing in ,the Executive Governor of Enugu State ably represented by the Hon. Commissioner for youths and sports Hon Manfred Nzekwe , the Enugu state Chief Justice,Local Government chairman all in  representative capacities among others.  The swearing-in had many mixed feelings as one of the Enugu Born Estate Surveyor ,philanthropist and a special guest at the inaugural  ceremony, IGWE ADINDE CHIBUEZE PHILIP ,DG Rock Ambassador for Peter Mbah after  a  brief tour at the dilapidated orientation camp Enugu with Barr.(Mrs ) Gladys Adama the NYSC State Coordinator. Dons Udeh The Governor-elect of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, has bemoaned the death of a political stalwart and former gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), ahead of the 2023 general elections, Engr. Dons Udeh, describing it as heartbreaking and condemnable. It is recalled that Udeh, whose lifeless body was found at the 9th Mile area of Enugu on Wednesday, was reported missing a few days ago. Engr Dons Udeh was at various times a State Commissioner; Federal Commissioner, Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC; board member, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA); State Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); Special Adviser to the Governor, and most recently a member of the State PDP Campaign Council, amongst others.  Reacting to the development, Dr. Mbah, in a statement by the head of his media office, Dan Nwomeh, expressed deep grief and sadness over the loss, noting that Udeh had served the state a...

Elect Enugu state.  Ahead of the May 29, 2023 handover, the Enugu State Governor-elect, Dr. Peter Mbah, has named Ike Chioke, Dr. Joe Abah, Prof. Chidi Onyia, Prof Chinedu Nebo and 54 others to his Transition Committee.  The Committee includes internationally-recognised technocrats, good governance, transparency and accountability advocates, financial and management experts, entrepreneurs, as well as tech and innovation specialists. The Governor-elect said the Transition Committee would help articulate and fine-tune the incoming administration’s “implementable and impactful development plan” when it assumes office in May.    The Transition Committee members, as contained in a statement issued on Monday by the head of the Peter Mbah Media Office, Dan Nwomeh, will streamline the State development plan in line with Mbah's “Social Charter” with Ndi Enugu.  The Charter aims at repositioning the state as one of the top three states ...

Dr. Stanley Ezediuto Ph.D Acknowledgment:  I'm happy to have joined the league of PhD holders in the world today by dint of academic commitment. I acquired a PhD in Human Resource Management. When I was younger, it had always been my earnest desire to pursue education till the point it could be said that I would not be in classroom any longer for learning apart from teaching engagement which is volitional.  Today, the 22nd of April, 2023, that childhood dream has come to a full actualisation, and it's only God who could have made it possible for me to be alive to behold a day like this.  It hasn't been an easy process. At some points I thought about dropping and continuing later, but I always looked back to the zeal that propelled the journey, so, I moved on. I'm happy for it today, and I know my family and friends are also happy that I surmounted the hurdles and finally lifted the trophy.  I didn't achieve this academic height without the earnest contributions of m...

  By Eze Kelechi  The Association of Media Practitioners of Nigeria (AMPN) has descended heavily on Mr. Chijioke Edeoga, governorship candidate of Labour Party in Enugu State, over his desperation to tannish, demarket and de-legitimatize members of other political parties and some of his perceived enemies in the just concluded elections in the state.  The association of the Fourth Estate of the Realm, made up of young, professionals and experienced journalists and writers from different media organisations, while reacting to frequent pressure and heavy financial inducements thrown at their members by Mr. Edeoga with instructions to publish unverified, defamatory contents as news on national dailies against certain persons, noted that it became a subject of concern when Mr. Edeoga pleaded with them to forget about the sources of the news but do the publications as their sources were immaterial.
