Hon. Engr. Anayo Onwuegbu FNSE ,Commends Enugu State Governor for Supporting Education Development Goals in Greater Awgu

   Hon. Engr. Anayo B. Onwuegbu FNSE, the Member representing Aninri/Awgu/Oji River Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, extends his heartfelt gratitude to the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Barr. Dr. Peter N. Mbah.  This appreciation follows the approval of Enugu State Government through the Ministry of Education and the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB) the Educational Scheme collaboration between Hon. Onwuegbu and the National Teachers' Institute (NTI) to establish a PGDE and NCE training program for the region to accommodate hundreds of students who are benefiting from the Hon. Engr. Anayo Onwuegbu’s scholarship programme. CHOLERA OUTBREAK ALERT: ENUGU STATE RESIDENTS URGED TO TAKE PRECAUTIONS

The Enugu State Government has issued a public service announcement alerting residents to the ongoing cholera outbreak affecting several states in Nigeria. While no cases have been confirmed in Enugu State yet, the government urges residents to take preventive measures to protect themselves and their community. DETAILS OF THE OUTBREAK - Cholera is an acute diarrheal infection caused by the bacterium Vibrio cholerae. - It spreads through contaminated food and water, especially during floods or inadequate sanitation conditions. - Approximately 30 states in Nigeria, including those surrounding Enugu State, are currently affected. UN Body Recommends Enugu Education Devt. Model to Member States

Global education stakeholders under the auspices of the NGEducators International Model United Nations, NGIMUN, an initiative of the International Human Rights Commission, IHRC, have recommended Enugu State’s education development model to other Nigerian subnational governments and countries as a veritable framework to eradicate poverty, contain insecurity, and improve living standard.  The recommendation was made on Wednesday at the opening of the maiden NGIMUN conference, themed “The Development of Education in Developing Countries” and holding in Enugu, South Eas Nigeria, citing the innovative approaches and huge investments by current government to leapfrog education in the state.
