Awgu Update: Awgu LG Boss Appoints a Youth/Students leader, SA on student Affairs

Executive Chairman Awgu L.G.A Hon. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo, the executive chairman of Awgu local government area of Enugu statea, appoints Comr. Okpara Augustinepaul Obinna, the Coordinator ESDA-Y/NYP Awgu chapter his Special Assistant on Student Affairs. SA on student Affairs to the Executive Chairman Awgu L.G.A While receiving the appointment letter, the newly appointed SA expressed his gratitude to the working chairman, who is determined in taking Awgu to a greater heights, and also promised to employ his intellectual might and scholarly experience in students leadership towards ensuring the success of the government. Breaking: Enugu govt reopens all primary and secondary schools on September 28

The Enugu State Government has announced the phased re-opening of all primary and secondary schools in the state, for 3rd term academic activities, on Monday, September 28, 2020. In a statement by the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Uche Eze, the decision was reached “following the Enugu State Education sector stakeholders’ consensus and gracious approval of His Excellency the Governor”. Prof. Eze pointed out that “it is important to note that necessary measures have been put in place in our schools for safe re-opening”. He added that “teachers/students/pupils are therefore requested to ensure that they abide by the approved guidelines on COVID-19”, stressing that “no person will be allowed into any school without appropriate facemask/shield”. According to the commissioner, “strong monitoring teams at state and Local Government Areas have been constituted to monitor compliance with the approved guidelines for the safety of all that operate in our schools”.  He therefore noted tha...

ENUGU STATE NANS PARTNERS WITH MINISTRY OF YOUTH AND SPORTS ON FITNESS INITIATIVE

NANS Stay Fit Initiative is a well planned fitness system with variety of physical health activities such as; Routine workout Sessions, Football Competitions, Aerobic Exercise, Race, Volleyball Game, Basketball Game, Table Tennis, Hiking and othe Athletic Competitions. The workout sessions of the program which holds every Saturday has metamorphosed into not just a major athletic hub for young persons in Enugu state, but also a a rare kind avenue for convergence of youths. NANS Enugu State Chaired by *Cmr Romanus Ogene* and *Cmr Darlington Ugwuegbe* deputy Coordinator of NANS Zone B partners with Enugu state Ministry of Youth and Sports. *Hon. Manfred Nzekwe*, Commissioner for Youth and Sports Enugu State and other Honourables represented the ministry at the Opening Ceremony  On Saturday, 5th Of September 2020 at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu.
