Peter Mbah, for keeping to his promise of taking over and completing all the abandoned projects, including the International Conference Centre (ICC) and the Hotel Presidential inherited by his administration. This was even as many concerned citizens called on the state government to give the people a world class ICC by removing illegal structures in the area, saying the land housing the ICC had been encroached upon by land grabbers.   The Enugu State government has refuted trending videos of alleged indiscriminate demolition of property at the Enugu Centenary City, saying the originators of the video tried to de-market the state for investment. Enugu commissioner for information addressing Newsmen Aka Eze Aka, the state commissioner for information and the executive chairman, Enugu Capital Territory Development Authority (ECTDA), Mr Uche Anya, stated this when they took newsmen round the  demolished building that housed suspected kidnappers in Enugu yesterday. The government said it only demolished illegal and uncompleted structures which served as kidnappers’ hideout, stressing that it was yet to demolish any of the unapproved structures in the area. Urges Nigerians to eschew expressions of hate and acts of violence The Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, has lauded the Nigerian Armed Forces for their sacrifices, including the supreme sacrifice paid by members of the armed forces, saying that the Enugu State Government would continue to support them in their efforts to make the country safe. Mbah, who assured that the sacrifices of the fallen heroes would not be in vain, however, urged Nigerians to eschew all expressions of hate and acts of violence and insecurity. He stressed that only by so doing would the country truly reciprocate the gallantry of the servicemen and honour the memory of those who paid the supreme price in the service of the fatherland. Enugu LG Election: Mbah To Take Best Decision–Commissioner

The Enugu State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Mr Aka Eze-Aka, has said that Gov. Peter Mbah will take the best decision for the state as regards to the forthcoming local government election.  Aka said this in a press statement entitled “Enugu State LG Elections, right decisions to be taken at the right time” made available to the press on Thursday in Enugu. ENUGU STATE GOV'T COMMENCES VERIFICATION OF ALL LG STAFF

The Enugu State LG Staff Verification Committee hereby informs the general public that it has commenced the Online and Physical Verification of all LG Staff. Consequently, it is mandatory for all serving Staff in the Enugu State Local Government system to visit the website  http://www.enugustate.live  to complete the Online Verification Form with their details. The portal will open on Thursday, 11th January and close on Thursday, 18th January 2024. All LG staff are directed to proceed to their respective LGA Payroll Officers to obtain their Verification Number(s), which they will use to access the portal to fill out the Online Verification Form, and thereafter generate a Print-out. This print-out serves as validation for every staff to continue to the next stage of participating in the Physical Verification Exercise.
