The Enugu State Government has taken a significant step in enhancing the learning experience and providing a safe transportation system for students by handing over newly refurbished school buses to the Science, Technical, and Vocational Schools Management Board (STVSMB).
This ceremony marks a major milestone in the state's education sector and is a testament to Governor Peter Mbah's unwavering commitment to redefining education in Enugu State.
Dr. Chinyere Onyeisi, Special Adviser to the Governor on Education Innovation and Director of Experiential Learning, Enugu Green Smart Schools, performed the handover function on behalf of the state government.
While tasking the principals of the beneficiary schools on the judicious use of the buses, Dr. Onyeisi noted that Governor Mbah's administration prioritizes the welfare of students and aims to provide them with the best possible education.
"Governor Mbah wants the best for the children of the state, and we are committed to working harmoniously as a team to reposition the Board through an innovative approach to teaching and learning," she said.
The Special Adviser further highlighted the governor's vision for the state's education sector, emphasizing the Smart Green School initiative, which aims to expose every child in Enugu to modern technology and equip them to compete globally.
"The governor has predicted the future of Enugu State through the Smart Green School initiative, where every child will be exposed to modern technology and be able to challenge the emerging tomorrow," Dr. Onyeisi stated.
Dr. Amaka Ngene, Chairman of STVSMB, expressed profound gratitude to Governor Mbah for his commitment to redefining education in the state, describing him as an "education-friendly" leader.
"We will stop at nothing in ensuring that our students are given the best education to compete with their peers across the globe," Dr. Ngene assured.
The principals of the beneficiary schools thanked Governor Mbah for the gesture, promising to make prudent use of the vehicles, as the state continues to witness significant developments in various sectors.
