The Enugu SME Center, in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Communications Innovation and Digital Economy (FMCIDE), recently conducted a sensitization drive on the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) Program at the NYSC Secretariats in Awgu and Enugu East. The initiative aims to empower corps members with globally relevant tech skills, aligning with the vision of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, to build a digitally inclusive economy.
The program offers free training in tech skills such as Software Development, Product Design, Cybersecurity, Data Analysis, and Cloud Computing. Corps members in both Awgu and Enugu East showed enthusiasm and interest in the program. The initiative provides an opportunity for corps members to launch a tech career during their NYSC year, completely tuition-free.

Obinna Nwachukwu, a corps member in Awgu, expressed hope and excitement about the program, saying, "I never imagined I could begin my tech journey in a rural location like this. Knowing this is government-approved gives me hope." Adaeze Umeadi, a corps member attached to Enugu East, shared, "With these skills, I can work from anywhere—even after NYSC. This is a rare chance to change my future."
The Enugu SME Center appreciates the leadership and cooperation of both NYSC secretariats in Awgu and Enugu East for making this outreach a success. The 3MTT program is a step towards empowering the youth with digital skills, ensuring they are not left behind in the future of work.
