Sit-at-home cancellation: Enugu state government invites Clergy, stakeholders and traditional rulers for a town hall meeting

Pursuant to the cancellation of the sit-at-home order by the Enugu State Government, effective 5th June, 2023, and as a follow-up to his earlier consultations with various groups, the Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, hereby invites the following stakeholders to a town-hall meeting on the way forward:

1. Leaders of the Clergy (CAN, PFN, Bishops, Imams)

2. Enugu State Traditional Rulers Council.

3. Leaders of Civil Society Organisations

4. Leaders of Transport Unions

5. Heads of Banks and Other Financial Institutions

6. Heads of Security and Intelligence Agencies

7. State Leaders of Neighbourhood Watch/Forest Guard Groups

8. Vice Chancellors, Rectors and Provosts of Tertiary Institutions

9. Leaders of Association of Proprietors of Private Schools

10. Representatives of the NUT, ANCORPS

11. Heads of Radio/Television and Other Media Organisations

12. Students Union Leaders in Tertiary Institutions

13. Leaders of NURTW, RTEAN, and Tricycle Riders Association

14. Leaders of Non-indigene Groups (Hausa, Yoruba, etc.)

Enugu State Govt Congratulates Humphrey Onyima,CEO Leadership SCORECARD Magazine on WCI Forum Appointment

The Government and good people of Enugu State have extended warm felicitations to Humphrey Onyima, Chief Executive Officer of Leadership SCORECARD and African Coordinator of the World Cooperation Industries (WCI) Forum, on his recent appointment as the official Agent of the WCI Forum. Final Journey of a Distinguished Scholar and Knight: Community Bids Farewell to Nze Sir Prof. Anthony Okechukwu Akpa, KSM

The people of Mgbowo community and the wider academic, religious, and traditional institutions gathered in solemn unity to pay their final respects to Nze Sir Prof. Anthony Okechukwu Akpa, KSM, whose remarkable life of scholarship, service, and faith left an indelible mark on all who knew him. The burial rites began with a lying-in-state at his mother’s village, Eziobodo Alechara Mgbowo, then proceeded to his father’s compound at Imeama Mgbowo, and finally to his residence at Old Eke Mgbowo Market, Imeama Mgbowo, where friends, family, and associates gathered to view his remains and bid him farewell.
