AWGU LGA CHAIRMAN HON. PEDRO ELICITATES WITH THE MEMBERS REPRESENTING AWGU CONSTITUENCIES ON THEIR INAUGURATION

 

I wish to extend my warm felicitations and best wishes to our two noble House of Assembly members-elect, Awgu North and Awgu South State Constituencies, Hon. Mrs Jane Chinwendu Eneh and Hon. Anthony Nwankwo over their successful Swearing-in today, 13th June, Tuesday, 2023 as the House of Assembly Member in the Enugu 8th Assembly representing Awgu North and Awgu South State Constituencies respectively.

Dear Hon. members, as you take up this new challenge and responsibilities in the Enugu 8th Assembly, having been elected by the good people of Awgu LGA, i  wish to, as the Executive Chairman of Awgu LGA, assure you that my administration shall give you all the necessary support, cooperation and foster stronger partnership with your Constituencies in order to mutually serve Ndi Awgu better. 

We cannot prosper in an atmosphere where there is no peace and harmony, therefore, I encourage you, in the course of your legislative obligations, to align yourselves with the vision, mission and the programs of our brand new governor, Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah in order to help his administration to succeed, make Awgu LG prosperous and cause Enugu State to grow economically and otherwise.

Final Journey of a Distinguished Scholar and Knight: Community Bids Farewell to Nze Sir Prof. Anthony Okechukwu Akpa, KSM

The people of Mgbowo community and the wider academic, religious, and traditional institutions gathered in solemn unity to pay their final respects to Nze Sir Prof. Anthony Okechukwu Akpa, KSM, whose remarkable life of scholarship, service, and faith left an indelible mark on all who knew him. The burial rites began with a lying-in-state at his mother’s village, Eziobodo Alechara Mgbowo, then proceeded to his father’s compound at Imeama Mgbowo, and finally to his residence at Old Eke Mgbowo Market, Imeama Mgbowo, where friends, family, and associates gathered to view his remains and bid him farewell.
