PETER MBAH'S CANDIDACY RECEIVES MASSIVE SUPPORT AS IJE AWELE MOVEMENT MOVES HIS MESSAGE TO THE GRASSROOT

The leader of Ije Awele Movement, Engr. Mike Ogbuekwe  led the group to a grassroot campaign at Ogige market Nsukka, Wednesday December 7, 2022 to sensitize the teeming market men and women drawn from various parts of Enugu North (Nsukka)  zone and beyond on the great plans of Dr Peter Mbah for the good people of Enugu State. Speaking through Hon. Basil Ojengwa, DG of Ije Awele, who represented him, Engr Ogbuekwe the leader and convener of the group highlighted the outstanding qualities and success stories of Dr Peter Mbah in the area of business, politics and leadership which non of his contemporaries can compete with.

Also speaking to the large crowd, the Coordinator of Ije Awele in Nsukka LGA, Dr. Mrs Ngozi Ozioko who also doubles as the  OMATAN Chairperson Nsukka expressed great optimism that the PDP governorship candidate and his running mate would not only deliver from "A' to 'Z" of the content of their manifesto, but would surpass the people's expectations as their track records speak for them, she equally highlighted the dual carriage Enugu road, Nsukka, the Fire fighter vehicles and other benefits they got from Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi's administration as part of the good reasons to support Ugwuanyi, Mbah and other PDP candidates

Other leaders of Ije Awele Movement and speakers during the exercise include, Hon. Chiemelie Dieke, Deputy DG, Comr. Hyginus C. Odo, Director Media/Publicity, Hon. Utazi Michael Coordinator Uzo-Uwani LGA, Hon. Charles Ayogu Coordinator, Igbo-eze South LGA, Adaugo Blessing Uwakwe, Ije Awele princess and Comr Omeje Onyekachi, media/publicity  secretary,Nsukka LGA among others.

The group whose philosophy is anchored  on sound economic policies and good governance also used the opportunity to canvas for votes for other PDP candidates in the forthcoming general elections especially the Enugu North senatorial candidate of the PDP and incumbent Gov of the state, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the house of reps candidate for Nsukka/Igbo-eze South Fed. Constituency, Hon. Vita Abah and other well meaning candidates of PDP within Nsukka East & West state constituencies and beyond.

Meanwhile, the exercise which started with an opening mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Prof. Paul Obai (Oku n'ere ere) and Rev. Fr Ken Nwodo also provided the traders as well as Ije Awele members a great opportunity to begin the last month of the year with prayers and communion with God.

By and large, it was an atmosphere of joy and happiness before and after the mass as Ije Awele members moved round the market sharing  thousands of  flyers of Peter Mbah's manifestos with the traders, their customers and passersby. Tears and smiles of joy also greeted the outing when the OMATAN Chairperson and Ije Awele coordinator, Nsukka, Dr Ozioko shared food items as well as clothes among the less privileged, widows, widowers and the downtrodden.

And the assurance from the people was that PDP would have their votes.
