Enugu Tourism Board Rolls Out the Red Carpet as NBA Annual Conference Makes Historic Debut in Coal City

The Executive Chairman, Enugu Tourism Board, Dame Rita Mba is delighted to welcome the Nigerian Bar Association's (NBA) decision to relocate its prestigious Annual Conference from Port Harcourt to Enugu.

While expressing sincere sympathy to Port Harcourt for the unexpected change, the Board is confident that Enugu stands ready and eager to deliver a world-class experience to the NBA and its esteemed members.

The NBA decision underscores Enugu's rising profile as a premier destination for both business and leisure. Under the visionary leadership of Governor Peter Mbah, Enugu State has undergone significant transformation, with the revitalization of its hospitality sector and enhancement of transportation infrastructure being notable examples.

From the sprouting of new hotels, resorts, and recreational centers to the ongoing upgrade of road networks, expansion of the airport, and implementation of smart city initiatives, Enugu is rapidly becoming a hub for national and international events.

Hosting the NBA Annual Conference is a monumental win for both the Coal City and the revered Judiciary. As the largest annual gathering of professionals in Nigeria, the conference is expected to bring together legal minds from across the country.

According to the Enugu Tourism Board, the conference will be hosted at the brand-new International Conference Centre, with ancillary activities spread across hotels, event halls, and historical sites throughout the city. This will provide delegates with an immersive experience of Enugu's famed hospitality, showcasing its serene landscapes, historic sites, and warm, welcoming populace.

In a statement, Dame Rita Mbah, Executive Chairman of the Enugu Tourism Board, said: "The NBA's presence in Enugu is more than just an event—it is a celebration of Nigeria's legal minds in a city that mirrors excellence, growth, opportunities, and nostalgic values. We are proud to be your hosts and are committed to ensuring a memorable and seamless experience.

'Welcome to Enugu—the Coal City that's lighting up with promise!

Our tomorrow is here!"
