Mammoth crowd as Friends Initiative for Peter Mbah, celebrates victory in class and grandeur

 


There was jubilation across the state as a frontline support group for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Friends Initiative for Peter Mbah, led by its Director General (DG), Hon. Cornelius Edeh, staged a colourful reception in celebration of the victory of the Governor-Elect, Dr. Peter Mbah, in the just concluded March 18th governorship election which attracted thousands of supporters.

The DG of the support group who seized the opportunity to appreciate members of the revered group for their impactful roles and contributions in the last election, said that their effort contributed to the victory of the gubernatorial candidate of the ruling party at the polls.

Lending his voice, the Grand Patron of the support group, Igwe Godwin Okeke Arum expressed his profound gratitude to the members of popular support group, stressing that they helped the team to fight the gubernatorial battle and won victory for the party.  


While thanking God Almighty for giving them wisdom and strength to win at last, the traditional rulers added that the people of the state who came out with resilience to democratically elect and repose their mandate in Mbah deserved accolades for taking such wise decision. 



He further thanked the governor-elect for remaining calm and courageous throughout the whole process while suing for peace and due process even in the face of detractors who were intentionally trying to thwart the collective resolve of the people.



Igwe Arum equally extended appreciation to the people of Nsukka Zone for voting for Mbah overwhelmingly having garnered over 25% in the various local government despite the message of division and hate by some selfish individuals who wanted to destroy the peace and unity the state has been enjoying over the years. 


While reiterating his belief in the unity and togetherness of the state irrespective of zones, the traditional ruler urged members of the public not to pay attention to the agents of division in the state as Mbah's administration will accommodate the Interests of all zones.
