Greater Awgu Youth General Assembly wades into herds encroachment of farmlands and dams in greater Awgu land



....National Executive meets with Divisional Police Heads to partner with them and see to the actualization of the much talked about community policing



...Commend the police force but calls for a serious and concerted efforts most significantly on herds encroachment into farmlands and streams


Yesterday the 8th of October the National Executive of the apex youth organisation in Greater Awgu land, the Greater Awgu Youth General Assembly kicked of her National Security watch starting in Awgu LGA with the Awgu Divisional Police. This is aimed at liaising with the security structures to further ensure a better and safer society and building a more security conscious youth






During the visit comrade Okolie Valentine Ebuka thanked the security expert for the audience granted to the Executives, he further commended him for their good works so far and contributions to peace we enjoy in Greater Awgu land 


Discussion was centered majorly on proffering lasting solutions to herds encroachment into farmlands and dams/streams hence making it highly unsafe for consumption and making Awgu more safer and more peaceful. We touched the areas of cultism, rape, drug abuse, teenage pregnancy and other social vices.


In the words of the DPO, SP. Emmanuel Ijebuonwu and principal members of the force  appreciated the executives and said he has been enjoying the support and cooperation of the youths of Awgu. He solicited for a more formidable partnership between the force and the apex youth body saying tackling security issues is like a system. All stakeholders needs to come to a roundtable so we put heads together


S.P Ijebuonwu expressed confidence that this visit has opened a table of intelligence and partnership which the police will effectively leverage on to deliver on its obligation to protect the lives and property of her citizenry.
