Romanus Ogene, presenting a bottle of sanitizer to the Enugu state's CP In continuation of its Stay Safe Initiative Campaign Against COVID-19, NANS, Enugu State on 28th April, 2020 visited the Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Ahmad AbdurRahman, in his office at the State Headquarters, Enugu, where it donated some Personal Protective Equipment to the Command. The Team, led by Cmr. Darlington Ugwuegbe, NANS Zone B Deputy Coordinator and Cmr. Gov. Ugwuanyi holds crucial meeting with market leaders, council chairman. Governor Ifeany Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, will at 1pm tomorrow, May 1, 2020, hold a crucial meeting with the Caretaker Committee leadership of Ogbete Main Market Traders Association and the leadership of Ogbete Main Market Pharmaceutical Dealers Association. In a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Simon Uchenna Ortuanya, the governor will at 2pm the same day also meet with the Chairman of Enugu East Local Government Area and the leadership of Abakpa Market Traders Association. The meetings, according to the statement, will take place at the Government House, Enugu. Enugu State is in the hands of God! ##

BREAKING: ENUGU STATE RECORDS A NEW CORONAVIRUS CASE.

Enugu state recorded new case of Coronavirus as NCDC released a new list which recorded 195 new cases of coronavirus including Enugu state, bringing  the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 1532 . This was announced by the Nigeria Disease for Disease Control on Tuesday . The NCDC also said that four new COVID- 19 fatalities were recorded in the country. It said , “ 195 new cases of # COVID19 reported – 80 in Lagos , Kano – 38 , Ogun – 15 , Bauchi – 15 , Borno – 11 , Gombe – 10 , Sokoto – nine , Edo – five, Jigawa – five, Zamfara – two , Rivers – one , Enugu – one , Delta – one , FCT – one , and Nasarawa – one . “ As of 11 : 50 pm on the 28 th April, 1532 confirmed cases of # COVID19 reported in Nigeria . Discharged : 255 , Deaths : 44 . ”. According to the Enugu state commissioner of health Hon. Obi Emmanuel, This case has a positive travel history. I, in the name of the struggle bring greetings of solidarity to you and your household. Even as we battle this ugly hydra-headed pandemic that is bedeviling our state, our nation and the world at large, we are not oblivious of the fact that our students are not left out in this global challenge ravaging the very essence of humanity. Thus the setting-up of the special NANS Presidential task force on Covid-19 which has our brother Comr. Monday Diamond as the Chairman and my Vice, Comr. Ogbonna Clinton as the Secretary of the committee in Enugu state. This committee above all things, will source funds from the government and well meaning individuals to provide palliatives for indegent students most especially, those that couldn’t make it back to their parents houses and those who cater for themselve...
