World Teachers’ Day: Hon. Engr. Anayo Onwuegbu Celebrates Teachers Across Aninri, Awgu and Oji-River Federal Constituency

As the world marks World Teachers’ Day, the Member representing Aninri, Awgu and Oji-River Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Engr. Anayo Onwuegbu, FNSE, has joined millions around the globe in celebrating teachers for their invaluable contributions to society.

Hon. Onwuegbu, in his goodwill message, paid glowing tribute to teachers across his constituency and beyond, describing them as nation-builders who nurture minds, shape character and inspire the leaders of tomorrow.

He noted that teachers play an indispensable role in shaping society, from classrooms in urban centres to schools in remote rural communities, guiding children with patience, dedication and a deep sense of purpose.

According to him, the theme of this year’s celebration, “Teachers: Leading in Crisis, Reimagining the Future,” is both timely and inspiring, reflecting the vital role teachers continue to play in navigating global challenges through education and innovation.

“In a time of uncertainty and change, our teachers have continued to lead with courage, creativity and resilience. They remain the beacon of hope, equipping our children with the knowledge and values needed to build a better future,” Hon. Onwuegbu said.

He further expressed gratitude to all teachers within Aninri, Awgu and Oji-River, acknowledging their sacrifices and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of the constituency.

“To every teacher across Aninri, Awgu and Oji-River, for your dedication, patience and tireless service to humanity, I say thank you. Your labour is shaping the leaders, innovators and change-makers of tomorrow,” he added.

Hon. Onwuegbu concluded his message with a heartfelt salute to teachers everywhere, emphasizing that their work remains the cornerstone of every successful society.

“Today and always, we celebrate you. Happy World Teachers’ Day,” he said.
