Why some elected Leaders don't last in their various political offices. By Obinna A. Okpara.

By Obinna A. Okpara.

When some leaders tell you why they were removed as leaders in their various elected positions, you will see that it is a set of class that control the steering of this Country. Most leaders last, because they compromise while some are shortlived of their tenure because they refused to compromise.

This shows that the inferior minorities have their own role to play outside parties and judiciary.

The masses may love you, but the invisible hands, owners of means of production, the Laviethans and the guardian class may not like you.

They may not like you because your rather focused on the main ideal behind the state which is to effectuate the interest of the masses and make things flow properly for the general good of the general people instead of being captured as an instrument in the hands of the guardian class for the effectuation of their own interest towards monopolizing the means of production.

Buhari might have a good intention to make this country better.

When he(Buhari) became the president of Nigeria, he felt the need of patronizing our locally made products and services instead of foreign importations, but not long as he closed border to encourage local investors, he was immediately captured by the invisible hands, the guardian class and the comprado bourgeoisies who serve as the agents of the colonial lords in our dear country upholding the colonial legacy, immediately Pres. Buhari was captured, he opened border and local investors began to have challenges once more.

General Yakubu Gowon lasted 9yrs as a military head of state because he was busy maintaining the colonial legacy, not that he had no good intention for our dear country, he had a lot of good plans for his people, but the queen of England felt those good intention as a threat to their imperial projects, the FESTAC hub was built for training our Nigerian youths in science and technology for the industrial beef hive in Nigeria, but it was thwarted by the invisible hands the reformists.

Murtala Mohammed and the members of the supreme military council who saw that Gowon has long deviated from their developmental plans for Nigeria, plotted a military coup and remove Gowon from power and became the head of state after Gowon, Murtala was a nationalist and a pan-African leader who was later killed by col. Buka suka Dimka after six months in power, the aborted coup was spearheaded by the reformists.

General Mohammedu Buhari/Tunde Idiabor, whose regime lasted for only 3yrs, due to their pan-African style and nationalistic style of leadership, the Chief of Army staff Ibrahim B. Babangida swept him out of power and became the head of state.

Babangida became the head of state and closed border, until he was captured by the reformists who enticed him with a loan which he later collected on the condition of implementing Structural Adjustment Program (SAP).

Babangida witness several aborted coupe in his  Regime, his is one of the long lasted heads of state in Nigeria, his Regime lasted for 8yrs, his tenure lasted long because he was busy maintaining the colonial legacy and adhering to the whims and caprices of the owners of the means of production.

Abacha's regime, Abacha's regime was shortlived because he developed an impregnable wall against the reformists and their anti-development policies, he closed border during his regime and encouraged locally made products, the only product availed to be imported was foreign made cars on the condition that it must not be used for more than 5yrs over there, under his administration, Nigeria was declared a paria state, his tenure lasted for barely 6yrs.

Obasanjo's regime, Obasanjo completed his 8yrs tenure and even planned to extend the tenure, Obasanjo was also captured by the reformists as he was enticed my NEEDS loan which he collected and the reformists continued to influence most of his policies till his tenure elapsed.

Yar'adua's Administration, Yar'adua's Administration was shortlived, following his developmental policies for Nigeria, within his 2yrs in power, the economy of Nigeria grew stronger, Yar'adua didn't collect any loan and he was a Nationalist and a pan Nigerian. Yar'adua died after two yrs of his tenure and Jonathan took over to complete the remaining 6 yrs of his administration.

Jonathan's/Yar'adua administration, Jonathan followed some of the standing policies of late Musa Yar'adua and under his administration, Nigerian Economy was at the top in Africa, this was not a good omen to the reformists, and that's why the cabals and the invisible hands conspired and destroyed his administration with sponsored insecurity.

Ambode of Lagos was also stopped from completing his remaining 4yrs tenure by the same invisible hands and guardian class because he refused to dance to their whims and caprices.

Peter Obi of Anambra, also faced impeachment as governor, because he refused to dance to the whims and caprices of the cabals(the guardian class).

Nigeria needs a leader who can conquer the reformists and their agents(the guardian class).

The major contending forces in Nigeria are the nationalists and the reformists.

Until one swallowed one, the country will continue to face lack of continuity and or political instability.
