PRESS RELEASE:Mmaku Youths blow hot against fabricated and malicious allegation Meted against a worthy son of Mmaku: Chief Emmanuel Okeke (Ezesinachi)

Chief Emma Okeke

The attention of Mmaku General Youths Association (MGYA) has been drawn to a petition written to the DG State Security Services (SSS) by one faceless Chief Israel Anuobasi against Chief Emmanuel Okeke.

For the records, Chief Emmanuel okeke is a native of Agunese Mmaku, a known philanthropist and a precious gift to Mmaku and other neighbouring communities.

It is worthy to note that chief Emmanuel okeke is a households name in Mmaku town because of his many selfless community services.

It is pertinent we mention that Chief Emmanuel Okeke took it upon himself to renovate some dilapidated class room blocks in the Model Secondary School Affam mmaku. He sponsored Mmaku Unity Cup for a couple of years. His foundation (Emma Okeke Foundation) has also delivered free medical services to our people at different times.

May we also recall that at a time the intake of hard drugs known as _Mkpuru Mmiri_ was on increase among some misguided youths in Mmaku,  Chief Emmanuel Okeke was one of the prominent men the leadership of Mmaku Youths approached, he generously gave us both moral and financial support to fight the evil wind. To the glory of God we don't have any trace of _Mkpuru mmiri_ in Mmaku as we write. Many communities around have also replicated our method.

The positive impact of Chief Emmanuel Okeke in Mmaku and beyond has motivated Mmaku General Youths Association (The apex Youths body in Mmaku) to honour him with award of excellence for his contribution towards human capital development in Mmaku.

Space and time will not permit us to mention the number of undergraduates Chief Emmanuel Okeke is sponsoring in Institutions of higher learning.

Chief Emma Okeke is no doubt one of our bright stars and we wonder why someone will maliciously want to drag the personality of this icon to the mud because of town union politics.

Yes, every election/ change of community leadership comes with clash of interest. But we never had it this bad in Mmaku.

We condemn in strong terms every form of character assassination/ defamation and malicious petitions aimed at maligning Chief Emma Okeke or any son or daughter of Mmaku.

We make bold to state that Mmaku has never had any trace of activities of IPOB/ESN. We are peace loving and law abiding citizens. Good number of our youths who reside in our village are members of neighbourhoods watch with the aim of  complimenting the efforts of the Nigerian Police in flushing out bad eggs and criminal elements  within our neighborhood.

May we also state that the writer of  the malicious petition is faceless  as the name  Chief Israel Anu-obasi is strange to the good people of Agunese and Mmaku in general.

Chief Emmanuel Okeke Ezesinachi has no business to do with unknown gun men,  IPOB, ESN or any separatist group. He is a man who uses his God given wealth to better the life of people around him.

The publication is not only malicious but full of lies targeted at destroying the rare reputation of Chief Emmanuel Okeke and escalating the crisis in Agunese Autonomous Community.

We have no doubt that the storm in Agunese Mmaku will soon be over as we repose our confidence on the peace committee to do the needful. We also appeal to the committee to speed up their work.

It's our prayer that the authority does proper  investigation in and around Mmaku town to unravel the truth behind the whole story and arrest those who give false information against our sons and brothers.

Signed.

Solomon Onyebuchi Ojoukwu.
