I, on behalf of Nigeria Youth Congress Enugu State Chapter (NYC) sincerely thank our amiable Governor, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi , Executive Governor of Enugu State for the hosting of NYC National Officers/Governing Board and the successful inauguration of State Executives of Nigeria Youth Congress (NYC) Enugu Chapter.



We thank His Excellency, for making it possible the occasion of inauguration of NYC Enugu Chapter to be a reality. We remain eternally grateful and we pledge to work hard with you to achieve the great purpose for which it was created and to make Enugu State Great.


We also thank His Excellency, for standing by we,the youth, most especially through out the trying and critical periods that we have just encountered in our nation Nigeria, we see him as a most accessible and youth friendly Governor in the South East! Who has been working with the genial Enugu State Commissioner for youth and sports! Hon. Tony Manfred Nzekwe for development for the youths.


On behalf of the NYC, we the Executive body of Nigeria Youth Congress Enugu State Chapter (NYC) assure His Excellency, that the privilege given to us will not be in vain, we promise to be productive and work hard together to make Enugu state and indeed Nigeria great..


I would also like to appreciate the Indispensable house Committee Chirman on Youth, Sports  and Security, Hon. Engr Okwu Chinedu Otaka for his present, the powerful speech and word of encouragement given to Us. 


 My special thanks to the powerful delegates of the Nigerian Youth Congress, who have come all the way from far and wide to be with Us, we assure you that your trust in Us will yield good fruit. We cannot do it alone and we pledge to work together to make Nigeria Youth Congress (NYC) great. 


We will continually pray for God’s wisdom upon us as we pilot the affairs of the Youths of Enugu State towards bringing into reality the Nigeria of our dreams

Final Journey of a Distinguished Scholar and Knight: Community Bids Farewell to Nze Sir Prof. Anthony Okechukwu Akpa, KSM

The people of Mgbowo community and the wider academic, religious, and traditional institutions gathered in solemn unity to pay their final respects to Nze Sir Prof. Anthony Okechukwu Akpa, KSM, whose remarkable life of scholarship, service, and faith left an indelible mark on all who knew him. The burial rites began with a lying-in-state at his mother’s village, Eziobodo Alechara Mgbowo, then proceeded to his father’s compound at Imeama Mgbowo, and finally to his residence at Old Eke Mgbowo Market, Imeama Mgbowo, where friends, family, and associates gathered to view his remains and bid him farewell.
