S'East Governors Move for Economic Integration, Nnamdi Kanu’s Release

The five governors of the South East region rose from a meeting in Enugu on Tuesday, resolving to pursue regional security and economic integration as well as the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. This was contained in the communique issued by the governors at the end of their meeting where former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Chief Emeka Anyoku, and some elder statesmen paid them a courtesy call before the commencement of their meeting at the Government House, Enugu. CHOLERA OUTBREAK ALERT: ENUGU STATE RESIDENTS URGED TO TAKE PRECAUTIONS

The Enugu State Government has issued a public service announcement alerting residents to the ongoing cholera outbreak affecting several states in Nigeria. While no cases have been confirmed in Enugu State yet, the government urges residents to take preventive measures to protect themselves and their community. DETAILS OF THE OUTBREAK - Cholera is an acute diarrheal infection caused by the bacterium Vibrio cholerae. - It spreads through contaminated food and water, especially during floods or inadequate sanitation conditions. - Approximately 30 states in Nigeria, including those surrounding Enugu State, are currently affected. UN Body Recommends Enugu Education Devt. Model to Member States

Enugu people describe the proposed ultramodern bus terminals as unprecedented

Commuter operators, passengers and residents of Enugu have extolled the state government's plan to build an ultramodern bus terminal at the Holy Ghost/Ogbete main market Enugu, also known as Enugu Central Station, and three other central stations in the state, describing the initiative as unprecedented.
