GOV. MBAH STRESSES COMMITMENT TO FORESTRY PRESERVATION, REDUCE EMISSIONS, INCREASE LAND RESOURCES

Gov. Mbah The Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has appointed Sir Chinyeka Ohaa, as the Chairman of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) Governing Council. The governor also approved the appointments of Prof. Ikenna Chukwu, Engr. James Ajibo Ifeanyi, Gladys Ngozi Okoro, Hon. Chinedu Onu and Dr. Eric Oluedo as members of the governing council. In a public service announcement signed by Secretary to the Enugu State Government (SSG), Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, on Tuesday, Governor Mbah equally appointed Prof. Uchenna Ekwochi as Provost of the College of Medicine, Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT). GOV. MBAH NAMES CEO, OTHERS FOR ESERC

Gov. Mbah The Executive Governor of Enugu  State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah of Enugu State has forwarded the name of Mr Chijioke Okonkwo to the state House of Assembly for confirmation as the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Enugu State Electricity Regulatory Commission. The names of Mr Chinedum Ukabara, Mr Chuka Akunne and Mr Ruben Okoye were also forwarded to the assembly for confirmation as commissioners in the commission. The names were contained in a letter forwarded to the House, which was read by the Speaker, Chief Uche Ugwu, during the House emergency plenary on Monday. The Speaker then directed the nominees to submit 25 copies of their curriculum vitae to the clerk of the House and appear before the Assembly on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, for screening and confirmation. During the plenary, the House passed for the first reading the Enugu State University of Science and Technology Amendment Bill.
