  A delegation of Enugu State youths yesterday honoured the invitation of the southeast governor's forum to be part of the all important deliberations on the way for the region following the realities of the Endsars protest. The meeting which had in attendance all ranking igbo leaders, governors, ministers, lawmaker etc also enjoyed the presence of members of the Movement For the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra MASSOB.  At the end of the meeting, the communique read: 1. That The entire Igbo leaders, including South East Governors, the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, pro-Biafra group, the political class, traditional and religious leaders of Igbo extraction, have demanded that the Igbo should be given the opportunity to be President of Nigeria in 2023 That Igbo leaders and Youths  demand the disarming of killer herdsmen with AK-47 in the South East, who have occupied our forests and farmlands, destroying, kidnapping, and killing our women.   President Muhammadu has condoled with the victims of an auto accident in Enugu State, emphasizing the need for vehicle owners to ensure their cars are roadworthy.  Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity in a statement on Friday, quoted the Nigerian leader as expressing sadness over the incident which took place on Thursday in Nkwo junction, Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State. A photo from the scene of the accident.   “He also commiserates with the Catholic Diocese of Awgu, which runs Presentation Nursery and Primary School that the pupils attended, and the Enugu State government,” the presidential aide said. “President Buhari enjoins vehicle owners to ensure roadworthiness, as initial reports attributed the accident to brake-failure by the truck involved.”

  It was a tragic Wednesday in Awgu local government of Enugu state on the 28th of October 2020 as a heavy truck crush the school bus conveying the pupils of presentation nursery and primary school Awgu, to their various domiciles. This painful incident occurred Nkwo Junction connecting Mmaku axis along the road leading to Awgu Local Government secretariat. Many casualties were recorded as many feared and a lot of pupils lost their lives. Ref-media implore the government to properly scrutinize other factors that must have led to this terrible incident and profer adequate solution to it. May we never witness such anymore and may the souls of the departed pupils and elders who lost their lives as a result of this incident rest in peace, Amen.
