Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, on Saturday, joined leaders and members of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, at their Secretariat in Enugu, to commemorate the 29th anniversary of the creation of Enugu State, amid excitement. Speaking at the occasion, the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo, extolled Gov. Ugwuanyi’s exemplary leadership qualities, commending him for his peace and good governance initiatives. Chief Nwodo described Gov. Ugwuanyi as a leader, who does not segregate or promote division among the political class and beyond, congratulating him “for removing partisan politics from your executive responsibilities”.   Chadwick Aaron Boseman (November 29, 1976 – August 28, 2020) was an American actor and producer. He has portrayed several real-life historical figures, such as Jackie   Robinson  in 42  (2013), James Brown  in Get On Up  (2014), and Thurgood Marshal  in Marshal  (2017). He has also played the superhero Black Panther  in the Marvel   Cinematic Universe  films, including Black   Panther  (2018), for which he won a NAACP   Image Award  and a     Screen actors guild, American Civil war(2016), Avengers: Infinity War(2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019). The Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman, according  to his family, died at age 43 after private four-year battle with colon cancer.  Rest in Peace Bossman.

  Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, on Friday, visited Obinofia Community, in Ezeagu Local Government Area, amid jubilation, for the inspection of the erosion-ravaged federal road project (Ozoechine Road) which was abandoned for lack of funding. Gov. Ugwuanyi, accompanied by a team of engineers from the Highways Department of the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, led by the Chief Engineer, Engr. S.T. Oluwadun, and the State Project Manager of Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP), Barr. Vincent Obetta, was informed by Engr. Oluwadun that the road was being constructed by the federal government since 2013 but was abandoned because of lack of funding. On his part, the State NEWMAP Project Manager, Barr. Obetta, disclosed that Gov. Ugwuanyi had on March 16, 2019 commissioned the agency to assess the road with engineering experts, adding that they realized, after scooping of the road, that it was a federal project under the Exclusive List of the Federal...

The Enugu Division of the National Industrial Court has issued Interim Orders restraining the leadership and members of the Enugu State chapters of: -The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives -The Medical and Health Workers’ Union of Nigeria -The Nigerian Union of Allied Health Professionals (NUAHP), respectively, from embarking on any strike/industrial action, pending the hearing and determination of Motions on Notice for Interlocutory Injunctions already filed separately by the Enugu State Government, on August 24, 2020. The court also made an Order of Interim Injunction restraining the members of the affected three bodies “or any other persons however so called or described acting under the instructions, direction or mandate of the Defendants from embarking on, or continuing in furtherance of, any strike/ industrial action, pending the hearing and determination of the Motion on Notice already filed”.
